Zanu PF says devolving power to the provinces will advance socio-economic development and ensure that the people fully benefit from their resources.
This was said by Zanu PF Politburo member and Bulilima Mangwe senatorial candidate, Cde Simon Khaya Moyo during a rally held at Tshitshi area in Mangwe district.

“One way of ensuring economic development is giving authority to provinces to run their economies. This will help in the creation of wealth and jobs,” said Cde Khaya Moyo.
“What the President is placing emphasis on is the economy ahead of politics. We want development province by province. Each province is expected to avail the opportunities available and then the government will assist so that people do not go outside the country to seek jobs. We want this business centre for instance to grow into a town,” he added.
Cde Khaya Moyo said while investors continue to flock into the country to explore opportunities in various sectors, the international community is keen to see Zimbabwe holding free, fair, credible and transparent elections.
The clarion call by the Zanu PF Matabeleland South Provincial Chairperson, Cde Rabelani Choene was the need for party supporters to play their part by ensuring that President Mnangagwa wins the coming polls and lead Zimbabweans to a better future.
Zanu PF Central Committee member, Cde Richard Ndlovu weighed in saying the president has hit the ground running.
“I would like to urge you all to go in your numbers to vote come July 30. We want a resounding victory for Zanu PF because we want President Mnangagwa to achieve everything he has set out to do for his people,” said Cde Choene.
“Cde Mnangagwa has committed himself to reviving industries and creating jobs four our people. He wants to improve social services infrastructure and uplift people’s standards of living, so let us rally behind him,” said Cde Ndlovu
The rally was also attended by the Zanu PF Provincial Youth Chairperson, Cde Washington Nkomo, who implored young people and women to take advantage of the recently launched youth and women empowerment banks, which are meant to finance their projects.
Zanu PF supporters in the area will in the coming polls seek to re-elect Cde Obedingwa Mnguni for MP and Councilor Sindisiwe Nleya, Cde Khaya Moyo for the senatorial elections.
