Zanu PF party supporters have been urged to take the current restructuring process seriously as it seeks to strengthen the ruling party ahead of this year’s harmonised elections.
The senior party leadership in Chipinge held meetings in all the five constituencies of the district to disseminate vital information on the new dispensation and take measures to strengthen the party.
The meetings were attended by National Consultative Assembly (NCA) members, Central Committee members, provincial members, war veterans, war collaborators, ex-detainees and district officials.
NCA member Cde Morris Sakabuya addressed party supporters at Mandere in Chipinge East constituency where he noted that the party seeks to win resoundingly in this year’s harmonised elections.
In Chipinge Central, provincial secretary for information and publicity Zanu PF Youth League Cde Pedzisai Mudhende said members are keen to mobilise people from the grassroots.
The venue for the Chipinge West meeting was Tanganda were Zanu PF NCA member Cde Timothy Mapungwana and Chipinge Central legislator Cde Raymore Machingura both spoke of unity of purpose to strengthen the structures in line with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s call for a united and strong Zanu PF.
The meetings held yesterday will be followed by 183 gatherings tomorrow to cascade information on the party’s new thrust to the grassroots and strengthen party structures from the cell level going upwards.
