Zanu PF National Political Commissar, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere says unity of purpose among the party leadership in Masvingo is key in implementing party programmes and winning elections.
The call comes as Zanu PF has stepped up campaign efforts for the party’s candidate, Cde Joosby Omar in the Mwenezi East by-election set for the 8th of April.
Cde Kasukuwere, who met the provincial leaders before he addressed a rally at Rutenga primary school, urged party members to be united.
“No one belongs to an individual, we all belong to the party. I am happy that there is unity of purpose, yes we can have our squabbles but we need to unite. In Masvingo we must come together and rally behind our leaders,” he said.
After the briefing, Cde Kasukuwere addressed supporters, saying the revolutionary party is expecting a landslide victory as the people of Mwenezi have remained loyal to Zanu PF throughout the years.
The Mwenezi East seat fell vacant following the dead the previous legislator, Cde Joshua Moyo in December last year.
