Addressing members of different housing co-operatives in Mabvuku ON Saturday, Zanu PF Harare Provincial Secretary for Lands, Cde Eric Pfumvuti, said they are starting stands auditing on Tuesday in a bid to thwart bogus housing co-operatives that are swindling people of their money.

Cde Pfumvuti reiterated the need for transparency in distribution of housing stands to members of co-operatives.

“It is very disheartening to note that many members of the co-operatives have no proper housing documents. Some people have more than two residential stands which is not good at all. We want people to be free from corruption,” he said.

Committee member of Harare province, Cde Jayson Pasadi, warned people who are abusing their positions in the party.

Cde Pasadi said this following complaints by many members of housing co-operatives who raised concerns about the way housing stands are distributed as some acquire more than two stands.
