All is set for the roll out of the National Anti-sanctions Petition Campaign in the country’s provinces, with the ZANU-PF National Youth Assembly saying young people should take a leading role in the call for the lifting of the illegal sanctions.
ZANU-PF Secretary for Youth Affairs, Cde Absolom Sikhosana told youths gathered at the party headquarters in the capital in preparation of the National Youth Assembly meeting this Saturday that there will be a show of solidarity with the country’s leadership in the demand for the lifting of illegal sanctions.
Cde Sikhosana noted that the party youths will take up a more robust stance as young people in Zimbabwe are the most affected by the illegal sanctions.
The anti-sanctions petition launch in the provinces will be carried out this Saturday, following the national launch of the campaign in Harare early this month.
The national campaign against sanctions was launched after the extension of the illegal sanctions by the European Union and the US for another year.
The embargo has hurt ordinary Zimbabweans and almost destroyed the country’s public service delivery systems.
