Youths in Tourism is targeting to attract investment and establish key contacts with regional stakeholders when they host a conference in Bulawayo this September.
The three-day conference which will run from the 6th to the 9th of September will provide a conduit for youths in the tourism sector to interact and exchange ideas on promoting the growth and development of the tourism industry.
Briefing the media in the capital this Monday, Youths in Tourism patron, Cde Auxillia Mnangagwa noted that the targeted objectives during the conference are aligned to the African Union agenda 2063 to unlock opportunities for youth development and sustainable tourism.
The government said it supports the youths in such initiatives to attract international conferences as outlined in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions thrust.
Youth tourism provides an opportunity for the country to harness the potential of this sector towards increasing revenue growth.
Globally it is estimated that 190 million international youths will be visiting areas of interest by 2020.
