Zanu PF youths in Harare have called upon the party to ensure that the indigenisation and empowerment drive is not hijacked by greedy people, who have already been empowered.
The youths presented their concerns with regards to the indigenisation and economic empowerment policy that has gripped the nation, saying they want the programme to benefit the once marginalised group.  Â
Speaking during a meeting in Budiriro, youths said they need safeguarding mechanisms that will ensure the programme will not benefit people who have benefitted before.
Zanu PF Politburo member, Cde Charles Tawengwa who was the Guest of Honour at the gathering, said the party will take the concerns of the youths seriously as they are the future leaders.Â
The country embarked on the indigenisation and empowerment programme that is meant to address the economic imbalances that were created by the colonial regime.     Â
