The Young Warriors goals came from Marvellous Nakamba and England-based Trevor Mutero.

The Young Warriors needed a win in order to stay in the hunt for a semi-final place.

The Angolans are the only team in the group with a 100% record.

Meanwhile, the Warriors will today take on the cranes of Uganda in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania in a quarter-final match of the Cecafa Tusker Senior Challenge Cup taking place in the East African country.

Zimbabwe and Uganda have met 11 times with the Warriors winning four games and drawing six.

The Cranes have only beaten Zimbabwe once.

The Warriors qualified for the quarter-finals after edging hosts, Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro Stars 2-1.
