visual_art.jpgA young talented artist based in Chimanimani has started a paintings book which has picturesque images based on the Shona idiom “Chinokura Chinokotama”. 


The young artist Ronald Mahoso has formulated a collection of symbolic pictures which depict the Shona idiom, “Chinokura chinokotama” as a way of expressing different societal experiences which people go through in the process of development.


The creative young artist said he was inspired by the richness in the Shona language coupled with day to day social experiences.

The colorful and scenic images in the book show different societal settings from birth, childhood until adulthood.


Mahoso who nurtured his painting skills during his school days is making a living with his paintings as people queue to get their t-shirts printed with pictures of their choice from his collection.
