Youth Empowerment Transformation Trust (YETT) says it is committed to work with the government towards the capacitation of life skills to the young.
Youths should be afforded equal opportunities to develop themselves and participate in nation building.
This emerged at a workshop held in the capital where youths from the YETT indicated their challenges to government.
Youth advisor of YETT Darlington Muyambwa said the new administration under President Emmerson Mnangagwa will support the youths through sustainable income generating projects.
Director of YETT Rosewita Katsande highlighted some of the challenges faced by the youth which needs attention.
According to the last census held in 2012, 62 percent of the country’s population is aged between 10 and 24 years and leaders at the highest levels have also acknowledged the importance of this demographic sector in the transformative story.
