A local pageant, Miss Legacy Zimbabwe, together with some local artists hosted a charity concert at the Theatre in the Park this Saturday to raise funds for children who suffer from a rare but severe skin cancer called Xeroderma Pigmentosum.

Trevor Dongo and Taurai Mandebvu, are some of the artists who voluntarily took turns to treat scores of people at the charity event.

Dongo and Mandebu said their participation at the concert is a gesture of love to raise awareness on the disease.

Founder of the Miss Legacy Zimbabwe, Pauline Mapuvire said the funds attained from the concert will be chanelled towards the welfare and treatment of nine children in Zimbabwe who suffer from the rare cancer disease.

Artists called on the cooperate world to help on the welfare of these children and pledged to work on a song that raises awareness on Xeroderma Pigmentosum.
