Hip hop artiste, Russell Tapiwa Masakusa aka Juss Russ, who is appearing in the British talent show, X Factor series 15, says he is optimistic of putting up a good performance.
Juss Russ has set his sights on using his musical experience to market the Zimbabwean music brand globally, and is confident of success considering that other local artists have shown that they can hold their own on the international front.
Juss Russ has managed to collaborate with artists such as Nox, Roque and Jusa Dementor, and recently recording a single titled ‘What Kind,’ with Tocky Vibes.
“In the next five years, I see myself as having the biggest record label on the continent. I want to push Zimbabwean as well as African music to the rest of the world. I am passionate about my music and it can surely be done,” he said.
The artist added that he is God fearing and is motivated by the need to ensure that his children have a better future.
X Factor is a celebrated talent show known for its no nonsense judges and has led to the discovery of groups such as popular British group, Westlife.
