WWS Scouts have travelled in Zimbabwe extensively and have chosen Zimbabwe’s top 40 U20 soccer players who will showcase their abilities with the hopes of earning Scholarship opportunities in the United States America.

In attendance will be scouts from all levels of teams that comprise: Division 1 & 2 & 3 Zimbabwe league teams, USA College Coaches and USA College Scouts.

Honourable guest, Brian Suskiewicz will be attending the games and will be representing opportunities for students who are good enough to play soccer at USA universities.

WWS President, Munya Maraire expressed great satisfaction with the upcoming games: “This is an awesome opportunity for the players taking part. It is so difficult to be a professional soccer player, but many of our good players can have life changing

opportunities to play in university in the USA.”

“We are honoured to have the attendance of Brian Suskiewicz, who is one of the most renown university soccer coaches and scouts in the USA. He comes with a wealth of experience and will be conducting a seminar after the game educating players on university opportunities.

A “Sports Scholarships Seminar” will be held at Alexandra Sports Club and is open not only to soccer players, but also to sports athletes in swimming, field hockey, tennis, soccer, athletics, water polo, basketball and volleyball.

Suskiewicz said he is impressed with the talent in Zimbabwe.

“This will be my second trip to Zimbabwe and I am very impressed with the talent we scouted last time we were here. I cannot wait to see how we can make some opportunities available to the Soccer student players in Zimbabwe.

”I have spent the past few weeks in Zanzibar and Zambia scouting players and running development soccer programmes there with the federations. It is a pleasure to come to Zimbabwe to be involved at the grass roots level,” he said.
