The Zanu PF Manicaland provincial chairperson has encouraged party members to move past the elections and work towards building the economy.
Speaking during an inter district meeting held at Dangamvura Beit hall, Cde Mike Madiro echoed the same message President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been impressing upon that people do not eat politics hence the need to work towards the growth of the economy.
“We are moving forward and should work hand in glove to improve our economy. We do not survive on politics therefore it is our duty to work hard to have a better economy. Elections are past us and we have to move forward,” he said.
Cde Madiro implored party members to stand as a united front in order to prosper.
He also reminded them that discipline in the party is important to achieve desired goals.
“We have to be united at all times if we are to move forward. Right now we want to know what we did wrong and how it can be fixed so that we won’t make the same mistakes in the next election. We should start preparing for the 2023 elections now so that we win every seat,” Cde Madiro added.
The Mutare interdistrict meeting sought to assess how the party handled the elections and map the way forward on how to improve going forward.
