The Zimbabwe Women’s Microfinance Bank (ZWMB) is rolling out training programmes meant to educate its target clientele on projects to be funded and on how to manage the finances to be provided by the institution.
Several women from Mashonaland West province received training in project management in Chinhoyi, where the ZWMB also unveiled its range of products for which funding can be provided.
Clarah Mukosera, the institution’s Head of Retail Banking, said the bank’s mission is to promote production among women, adding women are also being urged to participate in the agri-business value chain.
Zanu PF Women’s League Secretary for Finance Cde Caroline Mugabe said those who have accounts with the bank and have received training now have better chances of accessing funding for their projects.
The ZWMB was launched recently as a women’s empowerment vehicle.
