Women from various church denominations gathered in Harare yesterday for the Christian Women of Faith in Action Economic Empowerment Meeting where they shared ideas on ways of boosting their businesses.
The women said they are committed to contributing to the economic revival of Zimbabwe by sharing business ideas of how they can market their wares.
Some said gone are the days when they were restricted to playing the role of mothers and care givers as they are fast becoming agents of change within their communities.
Founder of Destiny of Africa Network, Reverend Obadiah Musindo underscored the need for women to participate in programmes that help uplift the livelihoods of their communities.
Over the years, the government of Zimbabwe has made significant strides towards increasing the participation and representation of women in key decision making positions.
