A local church has partnered with the Zimbabwe SME business incubator, KBA to launch a women entrepreneurship and empowerment programme.
The programme dubbed the Women Entrepreneurship Promotion Programme (WEPP) is targeting women who want to start income generating projects or grow their existing business.
Several speakers who graced the programme launch in Harare this Saturday afternoon clarified that the programme offers a unique opportunity for women to contribute to the economic turnaround of the country.
Under the programme, women are offered business training, access to funding, mentorship, market access and formalisation of their business.
The target is to create 100 new women business in the next 10 months.
