bags of fertilisers 2 -04-08-10.jpgWomen in the Kutama resettlement area in Zvimba District, recently received more than 10 tonnes of ammonium nitrate fertilizer earmarked for their farming projects.


Speaking at the handover ceremony of the fertiliser, ZANU-PF Zvimba East, Ward 26 Councillor, Cde Francis Mukwangwariwa said women constitute the bedrock of food producers in families, hence it is important to give them all support that will enable them to reap good yields.


Cde Mukwangwariwa to date, has handed over inputs that have benefited over 6 000 families in the area.


The country is beginning to realize significant strides after the land reform programme that benefited over 300 000 families.


Experts say the country’s agriculture will be one of the key sectors that will bring about the turn around in Zimbabwe’s economy.
