Diasporans are showing willingness to invest back home weeks after President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s visit to South Africa where he stated that Zimbabwe is now open for business.
A tough economic environment was marked by a mass exodus of Zimbabweans to neighbouring South Africa and several other countries across the globe.
Several Zimbabwean entrepreneurs honed their skills abroad and a recent visit of South Africa by President Mnangagwa served to stimulate Zimbabweans abroad to return home and invest in different sectors of the economy.
Southern based Godfrey Madanhire, who is in involved in wine making, is one of many Zimbabweans poised to capitalise on an improving business environment existing in the country.
Madanhire told the ZBC News of plans to set up a wine making plant and has met with stakeholders on modalities of embarking in wine making locally.
Madanhire is also a motivational speaker and is involved in book writing and the hospitality industry in South Africa.
