zim-warriors.jpgThe Warriors have slid down two places down the FIFA rankings following the latest rankings released in Zurich, Switzerland this Wednesday.

The Warriors are now number 129 in the world.

The Warriors who were placed on 127 in rankings released last month fell two places, to tumble to their worst ever ranking of 129 in the world, a position that is largely attributed to the 1-nil loss suffered at the hands of Mali last month.

For a team whose highest ranking in the continent was number 8 at one time, Zimbabwe is now rated a lowly 36th in Africa.

Ghana maintained their pole position in the continent with Cote d’Ivoire following on second place while Egypt is placed 3rd.

Reigning World champions Spain maintained pole position on the world rankings with the Netherlands maintaining second position.

Brazil climbed two places up to third place, while Germany and Argentina are fourth and fifth respectively.

Meanwhile, Dynamos finally found their winning form as they silenced visiting FC Platinum 2-nil in a league match played at Rufaro Stadium.

Martin Vengesai and Desmond ‘Senator’ Maringwa were on target for the glamour boys.

In a northern region division one match at Gwanzura stadium, Highfield United fell to their second defeat of the season losing 2-1 to Black Rhinos.
