Zimbabwe national soccer team players today trooped into camp ahead of Sunday’s crucial Group G encounter against Congo Brazzaville slated for the National Sports Stadium, Harare.

The Robert Mugabe International Airport was today the focal point as Warriors players arrived from various destinations.

Among those that were welcomed at the airport by Warriors Team Manager, Wellington Mpandare and ZIFA board member Chamu Chiwanza was Kelvin Lunga and Admiral Muskwe who are booth relishing the prospect of representing their country for the first time.

On the same flight as Muskwe and Lunga were Tinotenda Kadewere and Alec Mudimu who both highlighted the significance of Sunday’s crucial encounter.

A contingent comprising Khama Billiat, George Chigova, Teenage Hadebe and Evans Rusike arrived at 2:30 pm.


Players based in Durban, South Africa were expected at 7.pm with captain Knowedge Musona, Kudakwashe Mahachi and Nyasha munetsi expected to arrive tomorrow. 

Zimbabwe need a point in Sunday’s crucial qualifier against Congo Brazzaville in order to qualify for the 2019 AFCON finals.
