warriors2 zim.jpgThe Warriors’ preparations for Sunday’s key AFCON qualifier with Liberia have gathered full momentum with key foreign based players joining the squad.

Efforts to garner a victory against Liberia are now in full swing with Ovidy Karuru, Qadr Amini, Vusa Nyoni, Quincy Antipas and Edward Sadomba having joined the Warriors’ squad in camp.

Qadr Amini and France-based Ovidy Karuru who jetted into the country on Monday evening took part in the Warriors morning training session at the National Sports Stadium.

In a bid to bolster Zimbabwe’s strike force, the Warriors’ technical team roped in Dynamos striker Cuthbert Malajila.

Despite the presence of Mamelodi Sundowns forward Simbarashe Sithole and Sudan-based forward Edward Sadomba, Norman Mapeza highlighted that Cuthbert Malajila should provide more options upfront, especially with the situation now clear that Knowledge Musona will not be part of the team to do duty this Sunday.

Speaking to ZBC News shortly after a morning work out, Mapeza was optimistic about the Warriors chances of beating Liberia this Sunday.

With everything pointing to the fact that Musona will not come, Cuthbert Malajila and Simbarashe Sithole will be out to impress Mapeza as options that could partner Edward Sadomba, who has been part of the Warriors set up since Zimbabwe played Liberia in their first AFCON qualifier last year in September.
