ZIFA President Cuthbert Dube applauded the girls’ for lifting Zimbabwe’s flag high since the revival of women soccer in 2010.

“I am very much excited about your previous performances especially in the last game and I hail you for a job well done. We give you all the support as you venture into the return match advising you also not to be complacent and or over confident,“ said Dube.

At a send off ceremony held in the capital just a few hours before the Young Mighty Warriors departure, sponsors, Marange Resources, reassured the team that they will continue to assist the squad in all financial matters.

The Young Mighty Warriors won 4-0 in the 1st round 1st leg played at Rufaro Stadium 2 weeks ago and are hoping to wrap up the Young Mambas of Mozambique when they meet again in the 2nd leg encounter in Maputo on Saturday.
