cuthbert-malajila-goal1.jpgThe Zimbabwe senior men’s soccer team The Warriors are in camp preparing for their clash with the Seychelles in the first leg of an African Nations Championship final qualifier set for the Indian Ocean Island on Saturday. The team departs on Thursday.

The Warriors’ technical team is leaving no stone unturned in their quest to churn out a positive result in Victoria, which will guarantee a second successive appearance at the CHAN championship.

Caretaker coach Norman Mapeza however bemoaned the limited time the squad will spend in camp as the coaching staff tries to come up with a winning combination.

“We will only have two days to prepare but what can we do. We just have to use the short time we have to try and come up with a winning team”,said Mapeza

All the players who have been called up have reported for camp with a clean bill of health except Dynamos defender Guthrie Zhokinyu.The technical team of Norman Mapeza,Joel.Antipas and Brenna Msiska also recalled Gunners midfielder Ali Sadiki to stand in for Rusike who is reported to be in South Africa at his base,Ajax Cape Town.

“So far so good. Everything is going on well except for the injury to Guthrie Zhokinyi,”said Mapeza
 The 2011 African Nations Championship finals will be held in Sudan and the Warriors have to overcome the Seychelles to seal their place alongside 15 other teams. The Warriors are scheduled to leave for the Seychelles via Kenya in the early hours of Thursday morning.
