Sunday Chidzambwa

Warriors caretaker coach Sunday Chidzambwa has named a 29-member squad ahead of the Warriors’ guest appearance at the 2017 Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) tournament to be played in Kenya next month.

The squad comprises of local based players, save for Donald Ngoma who plays for Young Africans in Tanzania.

The two-week tournament begins on 3 December, ending on the 17th

The Warriors troop into camp begins tomorrow (Tuesday).

Zimbabwe will join Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Burundi, Ethiopia, Uganda, South Sudan and Libya at the tournament.

Zimbabwe is in Group B alongside Uganda, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Burundi while hosts Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Libya and Zanzibar are in Group A.

Chidzambwa will be assisted by Rahman Gumbo and Lloyd Mutasa.

The date of the team’s departure for Kenya is yet to be announced.
