Mozambique Football Federation Media Officer, Sidio Jose Mugadza confirmed that the Zimbabwe team arrived in Maputo late this afternoon and had an afternoon training session ahead of tomorrow’s clash.

The Warriors who arrived in South Africa on Monday night, held a morning training session in Johannesburg together with the South African based players.

The Mozambique Media Officer also revealed that his country will be fielding a squad that comprises mainly locally based Under 23 players and a few experienced ones as they are preparing the young squad for an away Olympic qualifier against Morocco early next year.

The Mozambique team will also be without its head coach, Mart Nooij who is in the Netherlands for vacation but his two assistants, Helder Muianga and Joao Chissano will commandeer the show at Maxaquen stadium.

Zimbabwe’s fulfilling of this match is a positive stride that shows that the country is finally utilising the FIFA international friendly fixtures calendar.
