The Warriors, who beat the Eagles of Mali 2-1 in an African Cup of Nations qualifier match in Harare early this month, are among the teams that have made tremendous strides on the rankings.

Other African countries that have also made heady progress include Liberia who are now on 125th, up 32 places, the Comoros 164th, up 24 places, Sierra Leone 95th, up 23 places and the Central African Republic, 91st up 22 places.

Among the top 10 teams, the only leaders spain and the closest challengers, Netherlands have retained their positions. Brazil, who were 3rd last month, has lost points and places and is now 5th, down 2 places.
