The electorate in Warren Park constituency has pledged support for the ruling Zanu PF party ahead of next year’s harmonised elections, saying the incumbent MDC-T legislator has failed to deliver.
The electorate’s pledge came when Zanu PF Secretary for Information and Publicity for Harare Province, Dr Abicia Ushewekunze donated shoes, diapers, school jerseys and soap to children ahead of the school opening day as has been his tradition.
Speaking during the handover of the donation in Westlea, people showered praises for the kind gesture.
Zanu PF Warren Park Constituency Ward 15 District Chairperson, Cde Kenneth Kadiyo said the party has gained ground following failure by the MDC-T to spearhead developmental projects.
Dr Ushewekunze commended the people for their support, saying it is critical to support the leadership of President Robert Mugabe and defend the gains of the liberation struggle.
Dr Ushewekunze also donated chicks to Zanu PF supporters as part of efforts to help them start small businesses in line with the country’s economic blue print, ZIMASSET.
