Children of war veterans for Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle have carried out a provincial heroes acre clean-up campaign in Harare to honour the fallen heroes and to lead by example to the rest of Zimbabwean youths in appreciating the selfless dedication which led to the liberation of Zimbabwe.

Harare Province war veterans chairperson Cde John Guta said the children of war veterans have surprisingly volunteered to clean-up the provincial heroes acre.

Seke district war veterans chairperson Cde Agnes Kutsanza expressed gratitude towards the children’s gesture, adding that she will offer her full support for the clean-up campaign.

War veterans information and publicity officer for Harare Province Cde William Matenga was full of praise for the initiative, saying Zimbabwean youths have demonstrated their patriotism.

Children of war veterans for Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle secretary general, Cde Pardon Mangwende said they embarked on the initiative to thank the freedom fighters for liberating the country.
