vp nkomolanda.jpgVice President and Second Secretary of Zanu-PF Cde John Landa Nkomo has implored Zanu-PF Women’s League National Assembly members including the executive to be united.

  

Zanu-PF Women’s League National Assembly members and the national executive are taking part in a two day induction course currently underway at the party headquarters in Harare.

 

Officially opening the workshop, Vice President and Second Secretary of Zanu-PF Cde John Nkomo urged the women who have been chosen to lead in their various provinces to be united saying the women have not been elected to impose decisions but to serve the people.

 

Cde Nkomo said it is now apparent that some districts in the country will experience food shortages adding that members of the national assembly must take the initiative to gather the requisite information and inform the party so that no-one will starve.

 

Zanu-PF Women’s League Secretary Cde Oppah Muchinguri and her Deputy Cde Eunice Sandi Moyo echoed Vice President Nkomo’s words of unity saying it is imperative for women to be guided by the desire to serve the party.

 

The workshop is being attended by members of the national assembly drawn from all the ten provinces in the country.

 

Various topics including the role of the women’s league in the current political dispensation and leadership capacities in the women’s league are expected to come under the spotlight.
