Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko has come out in defence of the under fire Zanu PF National Political Commissar Cde Saviour Kasukuwere claiming those calling for his ouster are being used by war veterans expelled from Zanu PF.
Cde Mphoko indicated that a fight between Cde Kasukuwere and the duo of war veterans leaders, Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa and Cde Victor Matemadanda had been brought into the party in an effort to have a new political commissar wanted by the errant war veterans.
Vice President Mphoko also noted that any province that makes a decision for the firing of Cde Kasukuwere must have its genuineness analysed as they had been quiet while the duo of Cde Mutsvangwa and Cde Matemadanda was insulting the country’s President Robert Gabriel Mugabe.
On the issue of insulting the President, national vice chairperson of the Zimbabwe Liberation War Veterans Association Cde George Mlala, castigated public newspapers for not defending the image of the head of state and government Cde Mugabe.
Cde Kasukuwere stands accused of numerous offences with all provinces having met and decided that the national leadership should relieve him off his duties as the party’s political commissar and in government.
