Vice President Cde Phelekezela Mphoko has sent a message of condolence to the Ndlovu family following the death of Cde Naison Khutshwekhaya Ndlovu, a veteran nationalist.
In an interview on arrival at Pulkovo Airport at Saint Petersburg, Russia where he is leading a Zimbabwean delegation to the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Cde Mphoko said the passing on of Cde Ndlovu is a sad loss not only to the Ndlovu family but the entire Matabeleland region and the country as a whole.
He said he worked with Cde Ndlovu during the war of liberation adding that the deceased was dispatched by ZAPU from Lusaka to Maputo as a party representative for his wedding.
He said Cde Ndlovu lives a legacy of being non-controversial in his political carrier.
Cde Ndlovu, a seasoned politician who worked closely with the late Father Zimbabwe, Dr Joshua Mqabuko Nyongolo Nkomo together with others such as the late Vice Presidents, Cde Joseph Msika and Cde John Landa Nkomo amongst others during the war of liberation and in the development of the country.
He was also concerned about developmental issues and wanted to see a united force in Matabeleland focusing more on economic issues.
