national heroes acre new.jpgLocal schools have been urged to encourage pupils to visit the Heroes shrine for them to value and understand the country’s history and the essence of respecting the country’s liberators.

The call was made by the House of Assembly Member for Murehwa North constituency, Dr David Parirenyatwa during a tour of the National Shrine by pupils from Muhume schools cluster in Murehwa North Constituency.

An organiser of the trip, Mr. Tafirenyika Makamba said pupils should have first hand information about the Heroes Acre, a move which would make the teaching of the nation’s history easier.

The visiting pupils expressed interest in learning the country’s history and to have a better understanding of the importance of the national shrine.

72 pupils from various schools in Murehwa North constituency had the chance to tour the place where the remains of some of the gallant sons and daughters of the Zimbabwe are buried.
