The resort town of Victoria Falls is bracing itself for Africa’s biggest end of year party, the Zambezi Lager Victoria Falls carnival with 5000 merry makers expected to descend on the border town for the three-day fiesta.
Organisers of the annual event said they are pleased with the recognition that the festival continues to get and are optimistic of another successful event.
“It that time of the year when the Victoria Falls will be centre of attraction as we host one of Africa biggest end of year parties. Preparations are going on well and we look forward to another successful festival. No changes have been made to the line-up of artists with renowned queen of house music, Lady Zama set to headline the carnival,” Local Organising Committee member, Emmanuel Tivatyi said.
Other artists billed to perform during the fiesta, which is fast becoming a major highlight on the global tourism calendar, include Black Motion, Freshly Ground and celebrated DJ Prince Kaybee.
As has been the case in the previous editions, the bush party is set to be the major attraction.
The train stops at a secret bush location in the park for an unforgettable night under the stars with some of the celebrated DJs providing entertainment on and off the train.
The three-day fiesta will end with the unity concert to be held on the third and final day as carnival enthusiasts come together to countdown to 2019 in style.
