Veteran actor and founder of the Zimbabwe Film and Television Actors Union, Albert Nkunzi has died.
He was 48.
Nkunzi, who was born on 27 July 1962 started acting in 1990 and starred in local television dramas such as Ndezvemeso, Mafuromanyoro, Murambiwa, Forgotten Son and Ndakaitei.
Nkunzi directed and produced 39 episodes of the award winning popular television soap together with the late Kaleb Maramba.
He was also the writer and producer of the block buster feature film, Game Plan which premiered in 2005.
At the time of his death, Nkunzi was the Secretary General of the Zimbabwe Film and Television Actors Union (ZIFTAU).
Mourners are gathered at number 16171, Sunningdale 2 in Harare.
Nkunzi is survived by a wife and four children and is expected to be buried at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare.
