The Zimbabwe Republic Police has raised concern over an increase in cases of vehicle break- ins countrywide saying there are syndicates operating within central business districts of cities and towns around the country.

National police spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba told ZBC News that 792 cases were recorded last month and the syndicates are targeting valuables.

Senior Assistant Commissioner Charamba said while arrests are being made, motorists must step up security by ensuring that they do not leave vehicles with valuables unattended and unlocked.
