Upcoming artists have been challenged to uphold the country’s cultural values by being creative in all music genres, including gospel.
This came out when a choral group, Harare MUMC (Vabvuwi) launched its 20th album in Harare this Saturday.
It was an exciting moment for the choral group which launched its new offering titled: Regerera.
In a speech read on his behalf, guest of honour at the launch, Uzumba legislator Cde Simbaneuta Mudarikwa encouraged local artists to continue producing music that enhances the preservation of the cultural heritage.
“I am honoured to officiate at the launch of this album launch as it defines who we are today,” he said.
Members of the Vabvuwi group pledged to continue promoting a cultural and gospel message so as to remind youths of Zimbabweans are as a people and the importance of the living God.
The 8-track album titled has songs such as Regerera, Kutenda and Jehova is Here, among others.
