Zimbabweans have been urged to take advantage of vocational training centers dotted throughout the country to acquire skills that help them start own businesses and reduce unemployment levels.

In her address at the Chipinge Vocational Training Centre (VTC) graduation ceremony, provincial youth development officer Mrs Theresa Mupanduki says VTCs are a gate-way to empower Zimbabwean citizens of different intellectual capacities and should be taken advantage off in order to reduce unemployment in line with the ZIM ASSET agenda.

Chipinge VTC principal Mr Stephen Maseta says technical and vocational education plays a pivotal role in the national and economic development of the country and should get more support from corporates and development partners.

The graduation ceremony saw the conferment of certificates to 35 graduates who completed their studies under various disciplines such a cosmetology, brick and block laying, clothing, carpentry and joinery.
