A US$35 000 classroom block that houses a science laboratory has been commissioned at Chapatarongo Secondary School in Nyamasara village, Nyanga
The classroom block was a community initiative and World Vision partnered with the school development committee (SDC) in completing the structure.
School children and parents who spoke to the ZBC News said they supported the building of the laboratory by providing available resources and labour and today it is a dream come true.
World Vision Zimbabwe Integrated Programmes Director, Mr Khumbulani Ndlovu said he hopes the laboratory will benefit all children in the remote area as lack of infrastructure negatively impacts on the children.
The World Vision team commended the Nyamasara community and the school, local leadership and government departments for the unity of purpose they exhibited during the construction of the classroom block.
