The Gonzanga University Chamber of Chorus, college ensemble from the United States of America has embarked on a cultural exchange and performance-tour of Zimbabwe with a thrilling concert where they also shared the stage with the Victoria Falls Serenaders in the resort town.

The 28 member US based choral music outfit which is on a maiden tour of Zimbabwe had a chance to exchange notes with local choir groups in Victoria Falls during the concert held in the resort town yesterday.

Having performed in many countries which include China, Austria, Germany and Colombia, the ensemble produced a classy act much to the applause of those who graced the concert.

The night was punctuated with inspiring melodies, interactions and mutual exchange of ideas all in the name of promoting as well as celebrating the diversity of music as a universal language.

The visitors spoke highly of the richness of the local music and talent showcased during the concert pledging to strengthen ties with local choral groups.

Members of the Victoria Falls Serenaders and pupils from Mkosana SDA Secondary School described the cultural exchange programme as constructive pledging to make use of the acquired knowledge in perfecting their future performances.

The Gonzanga University Chamber choral group which has since left Victoria Falls for Harare will also have another show at Arundel School chapel in the capital before winding off the tour with a performance at National Gallery of Zimbabwe on Tuesday where they will share the stage with award-winning acapella music outfit, Chitungwiza Harmony Singers.
