Senior citizens who witnessed the brutality of the war and the benefits of peace and unity in Zimbabwe have hailed the historic Unity Accord signed in 1987 as a milestone which brought a stable environment conducive for development.
It is only a few days before the country marks the Unity Day.
For those who witnessed the liberation war and the civil disturbances which followed, 22 December 1987 was a historic day which ushered in a new dispensation of peace, unity and prosperity.
