The First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa has urged Zimbabweans to unite and focus on development.
She was addressing hundreds of people who attended the inaugural First Lady’s Family Fun Day held in Mabvuku.
Sport is vital in bringing together people of different backgrounds.
A Family Fun Day organised by Amai Mnangagwa was an illustration of the vital role sport plays in bringing families and communities together.
Addressing multitudes of Mabvuku, Tafara and Caledonia residents, the First Lady said Zimbabweans must unite and disclosed her passion for promoting good health and development.
The Minister of Youths, Sport, Arts and Recreation, Cde Kazembe Kazembe said his ministry will continue to support the initiative that promotes development.
The local legislator Mr James Maridadi commended the First Lady for being a symbol of unity among Zimbabweans.
A number of participants walked away with prizes and among the interesting games on offer was a sadza eating competition contested by women, an ice cream eating competition, soccer, netball and tug of war.
To add to the excitement was the First Lady’s participation in a sack race.
