The Zimbabwe Republic Police officers have been called upon to demonstrate accurate understanding of their mandate as they carry out their duties locally and abroad.
This was said at a debriefing ceremony of a contingent coming from a peacekeeping mission in the East.
11 officers who were on a United Nations peacekeeping mission in East Timor in South East Asia were officially received at the police headquarters in Harare.
Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner General Augustine Chihuri at the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner General Human Resources, Levy Sibanda said police officers should work together and continue to lift the countryâ€™s flag high when on international duty.
On the occasions that ZRP Officers have gone on international peace keeping missions in Liberia, Sudan, East Timor and Kosovo, they have performed their mandate with distinction.
