Khama Billiat’s future as a Mamelodi Sundowns player continues to be shrouded in uncertainty amid reports of interest from Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Qarabag of Azerbaijan.

Billiat last turned out for Mamelodi Sundowns on the 5th of December amid much speculation about his future.

His deal with Mamelodi Sundowns is set to expire in June and the Mufakose bred player has kept fans guessing about his future.

Chiefs and Pirates are among front runners to land Billiat’s signature with the Warriors star reportedly spotted at the Buccaneers offices last week.

Azerbaijan champions Qarabag have also been linked with Billiat whose only activity on social media relates to his sponsors Adidas.

There has been debate about the most appropriate move for Billiat and recently licensed player intermediary Gerald Maguranyanga reckons it is vital for Zimbabwe to export players to more competitive leagues in Europe.

Billiat was nurtured at Aces Youth Soccer Academy (AYSA) together with Knowledge Musona before a stint at Caps United.

The AYSA product then got a breakthrough after being signed by Ajax Cape Town in South Africa.

While at Ajax, Billiat caught the attention of Mamelodi Sundowns a club where the Warriors star has flourished under the guidance of Pitso Mosimane.
