Young talented Zimbabwean artists from various provinces were auditioned by Umoja Cultural Flying Carpet in the capital this weekend.
Picked from various provinces, the 83 artists included dancers, singers, and guitarists.
A Member of the Umoja national team, Professor Fred Zindi, said artists who have qualified from the first audition will undergo another second audition next month.
He added that those who have qualified are going to exhibit their talents in Maputo this coming October.
The 25 out of 83 artists who qualified in the local competition expressed their joy and also urged other upcoming artist not to hide their talents.
Umoja Cultural Flying Carpet is a programme working for peace and development of societies through international cultural collaboration.
It involves seven countries which are Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia and Norway.
