The United Methodist Church (UMC) Chitungwiza-Marondera district conducted a medical outreach programme at St Michaels School in Goromonzi where thousands of people with various ailment were treated.

Head of the medical outreach team, Dr Ngoni Mwakutuya said the programme showed that there is need for medical facilities in the area as most people are travelling long distances to seek medical assistance.

A villager, Mrs Domina Mutandiko thanked the team for the outreach programme and appealed to the authorities to establish a health centre in the area.

The medical outreach team had six doctors, two pharmacists, ophthalmologists, counsellors and laboratory scientists.
