Two Tsholotsho men have appeared in court facing murder charges after they allegedly attacked a man following a misunderstanding over territorial issues and a lover.
The suspects; Ntuthuko Sibanda (22) and Nduduzo Ncube (24) with the assistance of Lawrence Gumede, Langton Moyo and Mthokozisi Dube are alleged to have attacked the deceased, Sifiso Nombe with axes, causing severe head injuries.
The deceased is reported to have been on his way to visit his lover when Sibanda and Ncube with three others, who are already on remand waiting for a trial date from the High Court, queried why he was dating girls from their neighbourhood.
It is further alleged that the accused claimed to have long had interest in the girl who happens to be their childhood crush and blamed the deceased for taking away their chances of winning her.
The deceased, who was later taken to Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo, died of injuries sustained during the attack.
The accused were remanded in custody to the 21st of May.
