Stakeholders in the transport industry says the sector recorded growth this year following an improvement in economic performance.
Players in the sector told ZBC News that they recorded brisk business especially in the third quarter of the year transporting inputs for the agriculture sector.
Mr Gift Sadomba said the economic performance, coupled with the availability of fuel, are some of the major factors that made 2010 better compared to the previous years.
The ban on left-handed trucks by governement has however sent shockwaves in the sector, with fears that the move will fuel costs.
Mr Gumisai Dengure said most transporters had invested in the trucks, adding that five year period of phasing them out is too short.
