beitbridge border post2.jpgThe volume of traffic has continued to increase at the Beitbridge border post as thousands of people flock back into the country from neighbouring South Africa for the festive holidays.

 

Yesterday, the Minister of Finance, Mr Tendai Biti and co-Home Affairs Minister who is also Beitbridge East Legislator, Cde Kembo Mohadi toured the Beitbridge border post to assess the state of affairs at the border post.

Speaking during a media briefing, Minister Biti said the situation has improved compared to previous years.

The Assistant Regional Immigration Officer-in-charge of the Beitbridge border post, Mr Charles Gwede said a number of measures aimed at improving efficiency have been put in place at the border post.
