A Zimbabwean delegation consisting of players from the private sector, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority and the public sector has left the country to attend the South African Indaba Tourism fair in Durban.
The fair which is in its 31st year of exhibition attracts nearly 1 900 exhibitors and 13 000 Delegates.
People from across the world attend the fair to talk about tourism in Southern Africa while also seeking to clinch some deals in the tourism industry.
Thousands of dollars worth of deals are negotiated and sealed on the exhibition floor, in backrooms, over drinks and braais.
Zimbabwe will be exhibiting the countryâ€™s tourism products and will be launching the new brand â€œZimbabwe -Â a World of Wondersâ€ on Sunday in a move aimed at vigorously marketing the country as a destination of choice worldwide.
In 2010, in the run-up to the FIFA World Cup, 1 955 international exhibitors from 88 countries, including 644 members of the media attended the Indaba.
